Emergency Home Repairs

The Emergency Repair Program offers financial assistance to help homeowners with low incomes complete emergency repairs to make their homes safe.

The Home Buyers' Plan

The Home Buyers' Plan (HBP) is a program that allows you to withdraw from your registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs) to buy or build a qualifying home for yourself or a specified disabled person.

Adaptation for Independence

Homeowners or rental property owners with low incomes may receive financial assistance to make a home more accessible for a person with a housing-related disability.

Secondary/Backyard Suites

A five-year, 25% tax exemption is available for new or legalized Secondary Suites and Backyard Suites located in established areas within the City’s intensification boundary

Building or Repairing Emergency Shelters

The Shelter Enhancement Program provides financial assistance to organizations to help them build new or repair existing emergency shelters and second-stage housing for victims of family violence so that these projects meet health, safety, and security standards.

Low-Income Tax Credit

The Saskatchewan Low-Income Tax Credit (SLITC) is a fully refundable, non-taxable benefit paid to help Saskatchewan residents with low and modest incomes. You do not need to pay income tax to receive the benefits.
